Nutritionist Öykü Uman graduated from Halic University, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2013. She started to study sub-specialty of Psychology at Halic University 2012, Faculty of Science and Letters and graduated successfully from the study program with the dissertat
ion in the subject “Behaviour Change and Behaviour Management for Individuals” in 2014.
She has served as a clinical dietitian in the departments of oncology, nutritional support, obesity, pediatrics and internal diseases of Istanbul Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine Hospital, Marmara University Training and Research Hospital, Medicalpark Göztepe Hospital and Haseki Training and Research Hospital during her higher education. In 2013, she completed her dissertation named “Nutrition and Nutritional Psychology in the School Age”.
After her graduation, she served as a clinical dietitian in Nişantaşı Diyetaktif and then got involved in many projects in the “Diyetisyen Dünyası (World of the Dietitian)” operating within the body of the same company in the position of brand manager.
At the same time, she worked with mothers on the subject of gaining healthy eating habits in the school age and nutrition by giving seminars to parents in the Ministry of Education, Dumlupinar Elementary School within the body of Beykent College on a regular basis.
She moved to London in 2015 and registered by receiving her equilibrium with the degree of honour from NARIC UK.
She continues her CPD training in the Health Science Academy in the field of “Sports Nutrition”. Currently, she provides training in Wimbledon Turkish School on the subjects “Principles of Healthy Eating and Behaviour Change in Weight Management, Nutrition Psychology”.
Öykü Uman serves as a clinical dietitian in Group Florance Hospitals LTD as well as the consultant dietitian of the Veras Academy England.
